  So we have now joined the most oppressive regime of the 20th Century in its new Holy War against the Middle East, now that the red Commie threat has been milked for all it was worth. Thanks, Steven Harper, Brian Mulroney, and all other sycophants who join the Elite (that is, the Bushes, the Bankers and the SAUDIS - let's not forget our "bestest Islamic friends") in their ongoing endeavour to keep us enslaved to their work-slave system.

  If I recall it was Jean Chretien that refused to send our troops into GW war. My take on this is we know there is awful things that go on in this world under repressive regime, some mind you have been backed by the US but it is time we stop acting as the world’s police force. No matter what we do there will still be these horrible things happening. If these countries want democracy, let them fight it out themselves, why should we send our young men and women in to do their dirty work. I really do not think they are ready to embrace our democratic principles. All the west has done is destabilize those countries.

  Do we know for sure if it was a Muslim that did this? Even though it sounds like a Islamic extremists work, lets not jump to conclusions before we get all the facts.

  I just watched the news coverage here on CBC and all they can confirm is one gun man that shot and killed a reserve at the war memorial. They think he ran into the parliment building and was shot dead there. It wouldn't surprise me if it was some radical muslim but lets wait till all the information is made available.

  When did you start getting ANGRY?

  when i started the fade....i recognize that i was upset, mainly because of the desillusionment.

  but, over the course of the past several months, i am noticing an increasing anger toward all thing org.

  it can only be described as indignation, not simply upset.

  Second, I am angry at ME for being such a gullible dumbass. The final conclusion has to be that "the buck stops here". I'm at fault for buying it all at face value. Sure, as a born-in I can try to say it's my parents fault, but at some point, somewhere along the line, I have to accept the responsibility.

  Like myself who was born into it, we were all conditioned from birth. Yes I had some doubts even at an early age but we were told that we were wrong and to blindly follow this oranization, so it is not all that easy to just walk away. It is admitting that everything we believe in is wrong. It takes years to get over this mind condioning. You are the strong one in your family that said this is wrong regardless of the consequences and left the religion. I think there is many weak ones that just go along with BS because they don't want to rock the boat and stay with the status quo.

  It happened in various stages. I learned everything in the late 90s and was just a teenager. I would argue and argue with my mom. Eventually I almost ended up in a judicial comittee. Fast forward this many years the only anger I get is how obvious it is that its just a farse but my family gets more convinced it's the truth with each change. I know there is nothing I can say or do which I have come to accept for many years. My parents will grow old and die always convinced the end is so close.

  With my family I have learned that nothing you say or do will change their minds. My parents are both now gone but they went peacefully thinking this was the truth and had a hope that they will wake up in that paradise world. Who am I to take that hope away from them. Even though we had a good relationship as my parents learned toward the end of their lives to accept me for who I was.

  Growing up as a dub, I am not angry at my parents as they did what they thought was the best for me. I am angry at the WT for all the lies and deception over the years that they continue. It is natural to have these feelings, just don't let those feelings distroy you. It is time to move on with your life outside of the organization.

  is the big show on 1914 at Service Meeting evidence of factions in the GB?

  sometimes the gb do end runs around each other, as when freddie franz didn't agree with the whole governing body concept and spoke against it at the gilead graduation.

  could this video/demonstration at the service meeting tonight on why they believe in 1914 and how to explain it to others be an effort to bolster that belief because there is a challange coming against it by factions within?

  i guess we can't really tell but i wouldn't put it past the boneheads running the society.

  2. Serve as a test run of how video from the organization can be used to supplement the meetings and perhaps reduce dependence on the need for qualified brothers at the local level. Remember that the org is suffering from a need for more qualified men to serve as elders. If meeting parts can be pre-recorded by qualified brothers at headquarters, then that reduces/alleviates the need for qualified brothers to give talks, at the local level.

  I noticed a video monitor mounted up on the stage the other day when I was in a Kingdum Hall. Makes sense that more and more they will use a pre recorded video feed from the mother organization thus cutting out the middle men elders and the sheep will get the "spiritual food" direct from the GB. More controls from the GB. Like someone else mentioned on here it reminds me of George Orwell's " Nineteen Eighty-Four ".

  If they don't keep pushing the 1914 or end of days message, what else is left? Then what reason do the average rank and file members have to keep going to the meetings and banging on doors? As an adventist religion it is very important to keep setting dates to keep the rank and file in line. Otherwise the religion (cult) will fall apart.

  anyway, i just thought there was a way thru scripture to argue against.

  That reasoning won't work as they have heard it all before and will probably have another scripture or interpretation to counter any arguments you bring up. Best to just say we will agree to disagree and go your separate ways.

  Current policy is that readers only ask questions that the Excrete Slave has seen fit to discuss already in the litterature.

  In other words"don't think or ask questions beyond what we say."

  Andthey say they are not a cult.....

  I wrote a letter to the society years ago in regards to interpretation well studying their book "Then Is Finished The Mystery Of God" and got the typical convoluted response you get from the WT. I read the response one way and my brother in law interpreted another way, so it didn't really answer my question. Some spirit direct organization.
